VW Connect introduced a groundbreaking change in Tucson. Before this year, the city relied on the direct-bury method for underground utilities. VW Connect pioneered the conduit system, transforming the way utilities were installed. This innovation not only streamlined efficiency but also set a lasting standard still used in Tucson today. Completed the construction of our office on Station Master Drive in Tucson, Arizona, allowing us to prove to our partners that we were there for the long haul. We weren’t just expanding; we were investing in the Tucson market and building relationships meant to last. Nearly two decades later, that commitment still runs deep. Tucson isn’t just a location—it’s part of our foundation.
VW Dig and Site Utility Systems merged to create VW Connect. The 40th Street office and yard were completed. The land development division was created, focusing on dry utility installations for residential development.
Called the TIPPS Program (temporary in permanent position). Required coordination between home builders, concrete companies, framers, electricians, municipalities, and utility companies.
Completed the construction of our superior office in Phoenix, Arizona.
The electric companies set a permanent meter. Return trips to the house are no longer needed.
